We’ve known Mr. Nhek for a decade and he’s been a close associate helping us track down rare batches of Cambodian agarwood over the years. He’s a seasoned distiller and what he’s achieved with Green Cambodi is wonderful.
Where traditional Cambodian ouds are characterized by jammy fruit notes, Green Cambodi is a total departure with its smooth, guava-like cream-soda green profile that’s super accessible.
Distilled from a combination of wild and cultivated Cambodian agarwood, this is an easy choice to get you started on your oud journey.
A whiff from the applicator exhibits it’s green apple peppered cilantro body and fresh ethereal feel. One might even guess at walla patta, but you know from experience that whiffs from the applicator are all too deceiving. The olfactory equivalent of judging a book by its cover, or rather, thinking the cover tells you all there is to know…
Open it up with a swipe and listen closely to the story it tells.
Quality reveals itself with time, the similarity to the greats an oud might portray from the applicator, will fade away within minutes of applying it… But listen to this: listen to the ornate facets of succulents emerging from moist loam, to the skinless white grapes and honeydew as their juices burst forth….
Taste the guava cream soda custard, feel the refreshing breeze of Mr. Nhek’s signature Green…
Customer Reviews:
A Treat
I do love Green Cambodia … I am a big fan of green oud, and ethereal green oud is just a treat … I love the OudBar concept and it’s well organized. All the best to you…
So Amazing
The sample was amazing, so amazing I had to order a bottle.
Powerful
A very good oil for a small price. It smells exactly like Komrod K (sold out) but with a bit more power and fruitiness to it.
Green & Fruity
I have discovered, that in this moment, the oils that capture more my attention, are the ones with more fruity notes, like the Oud Yusha, For the same reason I really loved Green Cambodi … I loved the green feeling and fruitiness of the Green Cambodi, and the way this fruitiness evolves in time.
Minty-Medicinal Bliss
While it’s similar to Siem Reap, it has that minty-medicinal bliss I really really like, which I also found in the Tigerwood 1990.
Very Relaxing
To me, it starts cold herbal, with a green mint bitterness to it. I get some smokey facet of green oud as well along with the bitter mint. The opening is a bit sharp on the green notes, which I assume is meant to be the ‘fizzy green apple soda’ in the product’s description.
As it develops, the sharper green notes relax a bit and I get spearmint hint of sweetness.
Overall, a very relaxing scent, calming green, smell of green nature type of olfactive goodness. Gives off the cool freshness of the forest and when worn in such a place it will greatly enhance the experience and connection with nature.
